The temperature of the Fluorescent magnetic ballasts
2014-03-07 10:37:48

Fluorescent magnetic ballasts can work at -40 degrees (under continuous temperature condition). However, fluorescent tubes at -40 degrees not start. Fluorescent tubes inside was evacuated, then filled with an inert gas and a small amount of mercury, phosphor coated tube wall. Preheating both ends with a tungsten wire coated with a tungsten outer strontium and barium can be due to heat emitted electrons oxide. When the tungsten filament is energized when the temperature reaches 950 ℃ (after power across the lamp lights up), the surface coated with oxide emitted by free electrons, an instant starter disconnect between the ends of the electrodes have a higher voltage (magnetic ballast voltage is applied to the power supply voltage), the inert gas is ionized to form an arc tube between two poles (whole lamp is lit, then called the starter), the temperature increased after starter lamp, mercury is heated gasification, while ionized conductive mercury vapor, so arc is maintained, produce ultraviolet light, ultraviolet excited fluorescent substance emits visible light pipe wall. The ambient temperature is too difficult to be ionized mercury lamp, so not start.
