COSφ = 20W +2.5 uF = 0.75 COSφ = 20W +4.0 uF = 0.90
After signing a 12uF compensation capacitor current = (40W +8 W) × 3 × 10 ÷ 220V ÷ 0.9 = 7.27A
Coupled with instantaneous starting current = 7.27A × 1.6 times = 11.63A
Ie: no compensation capacitor circuit withstand current capability 20.9A above design compensation capacitor 11.63A above design.
